This trip was a tremendous privilege, and I will always cherish the experience of seeing the pride and joy on my grandfather’s face. It reminded me of how important it is to remember the sacrifice and bravery of those who fought for our freedom and passed on their legacy to future generations. The Honor Flight program and all those involved made this unforgettable trip possible, and I hope it becomes an opportunity for more veterans to feel the appreciation and admiration they deserve.

So many thoughtful dedicated volunteers, so much organization, so much work and effort, and so much by hundreds of people and organizations who gathered at the airport to greet us when we returned. I am simply unable to put into words the gratitude and heartfelt thanks I feel for the Honor Flight group of West Central Florida. And my guardian, Joe. What a kind warm hearted individual. Joe couldn’t do enough for me during the trip. Great guy. I am not one who is easily impressed but I got to tell you, I was flat out blown away by this once in a lifetime unforgettable experience. Way beyond my wildest expectation. Please accept my sincere thanks once again and please extend my thanks to all the folks of the Honor Flight group of West Central Florida.

I truly want to thank you all for a day of days. The honor bestowed upon me by all was beyond any expectations that I could have had. My own Mom could not have treated me any better. I will just add that HOMECOMING was unbelievable. You guys know how to put pep and energy back in an old tired and wore out soldier. We sure live in a community that truly loves us Veterans. My Guardian was so kind and truly treated me with great honor. I could not be more grateful for her helping me get the names off the Vietnam Wall of my lost comrades. Every event although having many great experiences, it must have a “stand out moment” and that was the time at panels 35 and 36. As we fumbled through those sheets of paper, found and etched the names, this memory was also being etched In my brain for the rest of my life. Again, I could go on and on over such a wonderful day. Thank you and please share with the many other volunteers of this blessed organization.

I am still smiling from Tuesday! Such a wonderful experience, my first time as a Guardian. I am so grateful that I had the opportunity to accompany my Veteran on this trip and to see the faces of all the heroes we traveled with. Thank you for everything you do!

Thank you from the bottom of my heart. This flight was one of the highlights of my life and I will never forget it.

Please accept my heartfelt gratitude for the awesome job of ensuring all the veterans were honored with dignity and distinction for their service to our country. It was my honor to serve as my father’s guardian on this very moving and auspicious flight. My dad and I enjoyed every bit of the experience and as a result have already become Ambassadors!

The experience was impactful! Even upon our return, I was moved to tears, especially upon seeing the massive amount of people who took the time out of their schedules to come and welcome our veterans home. The Honor Flight of West Central Florida is one of the best organizations I have experienced.

I was on mission 45 and words cannot tell you of the feelings that I and others felt. I admit I was taken back and I could go on forever on how wonderful it was.
