Honor Flight Home – Feb. 25

Honor Flight of West Central Florida recognizes American War-Era Veterans for their sacrifices and service. We realize many of our Veterans have reached a stage in their life that flying to Washington D.C. is no longer an option. Honor Flight at Home is specifically for War-Era Veterans who cannot physically make a traditional Honor Flight trip to Washington, D.C. (It is not for Veterans who have already been on one of our Missions to DC).

The goal of the day is to provide this group of Veterans an experience similar to what they would receive on a traditional Honor Flight Mission including, video presentation and program, “Mail Call”, pictures with the Bomber Girls, meeting the military guest speaker and challenge coin presentation and finally our “welcome home” celebration with participants (active duty military, PGR and flag lines, Boy and Girl scouts, K of C, Sea Cadets, bugler etc) waiting outside the conference room to thank them.

If you know a Veteran who qualifies for this program, visit for an HF @ Home application.

If you would like to honor these Veterans with your presence, please gather prior to 3:15 pm outside the main entrance to meet and cheer for these Heroes. The program will be over between 3:30 – 4:00 pm.
